At the gate...
It is raining in London... It will be just like home. We had brunch at "Greedy Cow Burger." Their chili was nothing to write home about but I had a crispy bacon, cheese, hot dog that was pretty good (messy but it had bacon so win win). Kerry got a free burger and 2 orders of fries because some guy had to board his plane before his food was ready (hurray for last minute ordering guy)... He walked up to us in line and gave her the receipt so Win Win for her too. :) Good Omen for our trip!
We leave here at around 2 PM and through the magic of time zones land in London around 7:25 AM Tomorrow (11:25 PM Tonight Seattle time - just in time to go to bed). (Last night) I stayed up watching YouTube comedy videos on my phone until 3 AM so hopefully I can sleep on the plane. Future posts should be less rambling but no promises... ;)
This comedy video below seems appropriate to start our trip out ... warning it is not work appropriate - enjoy! Airport Revenge.

It's raining here too. Not the misty London rain, good old Seattle shower. It's cleared out a lot of the smoke, so that is good.
ReplyDeleteI went shopping at Marks and Spencers for rain coats last night so that I won't get drenched today which is supposed to be the worst of the rain while we are in London. I have no idea how much it cost in US dollars since I used my card...oh well I guess I will know when it hits the bank. ;)
DeleteUpdate there is of course an app for the pounds to dollars conversion... the coat cost $64 so the bank isn't broken yet. My Garmon watch however stopped working the minute we got off the plane. I suspect it doesn't like the cell towers over here. So today I will go in search of a pedometer while we are sightseeing and shopping.
